Elevate Española Way

I’m delighted to unveil my Elevate Española Way project with the City of Miami Beach. Sundial Spectrum features thirteen sculptural hanging panels showcasing bold colors on vinyl laminated polycarbonate along with large-scale murals framing the walkway. Inspired by geometry and natural forms, the hypnotic patterns will shift as the sun moves throughout the day. As light filters through, viewers will find themselves surrounded by rainbow shadows along Española Way.

The opening reception will be Tuesday December 3rd, 1 - 2 PM EST on Espanola Way between Washington and Collins Ave.

Espanola Way Installation

I’m thrilled to announce my latest public art installation, an interactive LED floor walkway, in collaboration with Adobe MAX! Located on the iconic Española Way in Miami Beach, this vibrant piece is an immersive experience for all who walk through.

My signature shapes and drips start as line drawings that spring into vivid color and dynamic animations with each step visitors take. As people move across the walkway, they become part of the art, transforming the space into a mesmerizing, ever-changing canvas. The event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Miami Beach mayor, Steven Meiner

Adobe Walk is on view Monday, October 14th to Wednesday, October 16th, 2024 from 10 am to 11 pm.

This installation was also featured on Channel 7 News. You can watch the story here.

Through these artworks, Op art became more than just the final chapter of modernist geometric abstraction—it was also the first artistic movement of the global Information Age.
