Here is a new wood piece I made for a Miami group show at Snitzer Gallery. It is based on the idea of a reciprocal -how a multiplicative inverse of 2 can become 1.

My animation "Streaming Gradient" will be exhibited in a new show at MOCA North Miami opening March 25. Highlighting pivotal works by artists who broke boundaries in film-making, Abstract Cinema & Technology explores how technological innovations from the 1920s to the present provided new means for artists to create abstract moving images.
The exhibition features works by Jose Alvarez, Cory Arcangel, Jordan Belson, Jeremy Blake, Mary Ellen Bute, Marcel Duchamp, Oskar Fischinger, Jiae Hwang and Nicolas Raftis III, Nam June Paik, Len Lye, Kevin Medal, Bruce Nauman, C.E.B. Reas, Hans Richter, Harry Smith, Jen Stark, Jennifer Steinkamp, Stan VanDerBeek, and James Whitney.

Translation of the page:
"ART OF COLOURS
Sun rising from the veils of clouds... Breeze from the sea tickling our cheeks... Sweet sound of the nightingale form the tree...
These are the events that can inspire an idea into any artist. But Jen Stark is inspired from something completely different and cutting the papers this way. Her sister is a doctor. She used to watch the post-mortem of the corpses by her sister in the hospital. It's then the idea of such paper cutting struck her. Since then, she started cutting paper this way. The knife and the paper bowed in front of the art-filled heart of hers. Now she's giving shows of her work in various countries worldwide!"
