I’m included in a book featuring 9 female artists titled “EXPOSURE” by Carmen Chan. From her website:
“It’s well known in the art world that female artists remain dramatically underrepresented in museums and galleries. It is a complex dilemma — in part due to a lack of research into female artists, entrenched biases, and, what artist Andrea Fraser calls the tendency for institutions to cater to “established tastes and the spectacle of fame or of genius.”
My goal with the book is to create a platform for nine female artists. By offering a glimpse into their processes, I hope to bring attention to and foster an appreciation for their work, and the journey it took to get there.
My hope is that you will find inspiration in the spaces, experiences, and voices of the artists in this book — that you discover work that you love, and curate a body of work that speaks to you.
Featuring Tallulah Fontaine, Lisa Hanawalt, Enna Ikuta, Lilian Martinez, Andrea Nakhla, Satsuki Shibuya, Emily Snyder, Jen Stark, and Kristen Liu Wong.”

She photographed me in my studio with 120 & 35mm film. Here are some of my favorite images.
